Shore Front Condominium
My husband has long had a desire to own water front property. With the price of housing rising in the past few years, a beach home out east became prohibitive. However, an article in the newspaper about the Rockaway revitalization convinced us to take a look at the Rockaway Park area.
For both of us Rockaway held wonderful memories of our youth. My husband remembered summers with his family. For me, it was the right of passage as a teenager to take the A train and go to beach 108th street and hang out with my friends.
A couple of years ago, we saw signs for condos being built on B101 Street. After seeing a model and meeting Michael Kerris, a young thirty something developer of The Frameworks Group, we instantly liked him. When he told us that he was a resident in the development, we knew he was sincere about Rockaway and its revival. Rockaway Park is a friendly, diverse, community where people greet you on the street.
For us, the condo is our second home. It affords us the summer home that had escaped us in the past. It is forty-five minutes from our home in Roslyn. We can decide to go for the day, the weekend, or whenever. Our families have come to visit and are thoroughly impressed when they see the condo and the beauty of the beach. We recently looked at old photographs of my mother and father with my grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins posing on Rockaway Beach. We feel we that we have come full circle.

I have been a Rockaway Peninsula resident since 1978, first owning a home in Belle Harbor and now a condo in the Shore Front community. Since my children have grown and moved away, I was grateful for finding The FrameWorks Group who served as catalyst and enabled me to sustain my precious beachfront property in the special secluded area of Rockaway Park.
There is something magical about driving over the bridge, seeing the horizon and feeling the temperature drop 10 degrees in the broiling summer heat. Or living in a secluded beachfront community that few New Yorkers know about
